We would like to invite you to become a sponsor of BAIPA, the Bay Area Independent Publishers Association. BAIPA is a lively, one-of-a-kind organization that focuses on educating, supporting and encouraging authors in all aspects of the rapidly changing independent publishing industry.
At BAIPA meetings, novice and experienced authors alike learn how to successfully navigate the complex (and seemingly mysterious) process that will result in a book they can be proud of. We share information about not only the nitty-gritty of publishing, but also the ins and outs of marketing and promoting books once they're published. BAIPA sponsors an Annual Book Award Competition and is a participant at regional trade conferences and book fairs.
BAIPA meets on the second Saturday morning of every month at 750 Lindaro Street in San Rafael. Our 150-plus members include writers, editors, artists, book designers, publicists, marketing coaches, attorneys, agents, publishers, social media mavens, and print brokers. We typically have about 50 attendees, who come from the entire Bay Area. Our meetings have a fast-paced, informative Q&A session, two networking periods, introductions, speakers on topics relevant to self-publishing, and a great brunch table! We encourage members to show and sell their books at the meetings too.
A premium sponsor is entitled to a half-page ad in twelve issues of our monthly e-newsletter, “book beat,” sent to over 700 individuals and organizations, as well as a listing with your logo and web site link on the BAIPA web site and book beat. A single annual membership is also included (valued at $75). You may make a brief announcement about your company or service at meetings, and bring printed materials to hand out to attendees. Sponsors may make a “special offer” to BAIPA members with a special code on the web site. This level is renewable annually for $300.
BAIPA members may sponsor an event for is $100 per event. Events include quarterly workshops and possible other special events. As an underwriting sponsor of an event such as a quarterly workshop, you get free admission to the event, an individual page on the BAIPA web site www.baipa.org for three months that includes your logo and a link to your web site. You may make a five-minute announcement about your company or service at the event and bring printed materials to hand out to attendees. You will have table at the event, where you may also bring a display board. There can be three sponsors for each event.
